Here are some new illustrations in a recent issue of Ranger Rick magazine.

The August issue of Ranger Rick has another illustration of mine in it. This time, I had the pleasure of making millipedes and centipedes look good. I added the baseball and dandelion to create a sense of a backyard. Here is the rough drawing and the final together.

These are recent illustrations created for Ranger Rick Magazine. I am so happy to be working for the National Wildlife Federation and targeting children. Rough drawings as usual are included.

I am pleased to be participating in the fundraiser for Johns Hopkins Cancer Center. I chose a Phoenix to paint on a PRS guitar. I wanted to keep the bird theme consistent and it is also a symbol of hope and rebirth. I am also including my rough drawing. It is always fun to see the finished and the rough together.

This illustration features the walking stick, or stick bug. I used the fence out front to stage the scene. Highlights Magazine for children printed this in the August issue.

These are new illustrations completed for Iguana Magazine. I often get old legends to illustrate. This one features a wondrous new plant, corn! Also, a magic bird talks his way out of being killed.

Thanks to good advice from one of my great teachers, Angela Dominguez and from Martha Rago of Harper Collins, I have completed a new book dummy. I have been inspired by seeing girls riding skateboards through the neighborhood. Sometimes they are accompanied by their dogs. So I chose a poem in the public domain by Eleanor Farjeon to turn into a book. It gave me a platform to express fun, freedom and imagination. Also, it expresses responsibility to the needs of creatures in our care. Poetry can say so much with so few words, and I love to add to the possibilities of expression with pictures.
